Opelenge; My Skinny Queen

My beautiful slim opelenge
Who tears the mortar to pieces
By stepping upon it
But gives no crack to a crate of egg
When stading over it

Opelenge my pretty beauty
My peace
My future Mrs. Samueldpoetry

The almighty eye
Watching from the sky
Has blessed me with thee
For you’re slim but strong like a guava tree

And whenever I rest upon thee in nudity
The happiness I feel is of the
Highest degree

That is why I always thank God
For making you more of bones
And less of flesh
For you to be my skinny queen.

Samuel C. Enunwa aka samueldpoetry

“OPELENGE” in Yoruba language means someone very slim and very tall
